Had a Colt upper on which you re-contoured the barrel.  Looks great , though the hand-guard cap has enough rotational play now to make the hand guards feel loose.  Can I Locktite the cap to sight tower to tighten?  Would the heat preclude a good bond in that area?  Any other method to tighten the cap?  Thank you for the great barrel work!

Some tape on the lip of the handguard would probably work best.

The hand guards do not move within the cap,  its the hand guard cap that moves,  moving the hand guards with it.

The gas tube should stop the HG cap from moving. I dont quite understand.

The hole in the hand guard cap for the gas tube is oversize by enough to create rotational movement .
