Anyone else had a package lost from the UPS to USPS transfer?
Tracking says it was delivered to USPS, then says delivered to address. No package. UPS says they did their part and it was on the USPS. USPS doesn't have a clue... sad face

| You would think someone would have to be responsible for the lost package - everyone just points fingers at everyone else. If the tracking number says it is delivered they just wash their hands of it... unbelievable. Sounds like I need the $4 upgrade next time - but that definitely doesn't help me know... |

Be patient. This very topic has been discussed many time here before. The UPS lists as delivered when they drop it off to the USPS for their end of the delivery. It is apparent that the USPS does not track UPS packages the same way. Locally, they will have no idea where it is. However, They always show up from the USPS in a day or two after UPS hands it off. I'll bet you see it soon.
This is also the reason most people upgrade one level of shipping preferences at check out. For the extra couple bucks you will be able to track it to your door. Not the USPS hand off. |

USPS doesn't have a clue... sad face ![]() As mentioned above, this has been discussed previously...and I was one of those discussions. 1- Do call your local USPS branch, get the station manager, ask them to check with Your carrier. Chances are your carrier is going to reply "Huh, what?"....as in my case where my regular carrier was on vacation , and the fill-in guy botched the delivery. You will most likely NOT get your package this way, or any satisfaction, but it's always good to let the station manager know that their people are FUCK-UPS. (or in this case FUCK-USPS) 2 - In my area - UPS is ultra-reliable, and I have a great driver on my route. YMMV. So after learning my lesson the hard-way, I now always upgrade all packages to UPS. 3- Also as mentioned above...DO call LT tomorrow and let them know what's going on. They will most likely attempt to resolve it on their end. Hope you're not too inconvenienced. |

I'll backup the two posts above as well. In UPS to USPS transactions I've had them marked as delivered once USPS accepts and it arrives a day later. On a different line I've had USPS drivers and office tell me that occasionally they will mark items as delivered when they have not delivered within an allotted time to keep the numbers in check or within the guidelines or some other nonsense. Basically making it look like they are getting deliveries done on time when they cannot. Those are always delivered the next day though. I've had to deal with USPS alone doing this on orders I ship direct USPS priority mail. Customer purchased a hard to find receiver earlier in the year, it showed as delivered and after much panic from purchasers side and a few phone calls on my side we figured out the normal delivery driver was not on the route, but they marked the package as delivered and held back rather than releasing to the temp driver of the day. Obviously that is not a responsible or credible way for them to handle business, but it happens. |

I had a weird transaction with my last Larue order. It was supposed to be transferred to USPS but on the day before it was supposed to be delivered it had the following remark on the UPS tracking:
UPS will attempt delivery; package will not be transferred to local post office for delivery Not complaining since I got the package a day early. |

Call the post office - talked to the guy that actually delivers my mail. He swore to me that he put the package on my front porch - said someone must have stolen it. The next day the package arrived on my front porch... not sure what happened - but i'm just happy I finally got it!
Thanks again for the feedback. |
