I have a few questions regarding the Larue lt129 cant mount. I currently have a Primary Arms m3 clone that I'm using until I can afford a real M3, and the PA cant mount that they make. I have enough money for a Larue mount now, which I would have to get for the Aimpoint anyway, and the PA fits in it so I figured why not.
My questions are, will this mount help the optic hold zero under tougher conditions? That is, if I were to lose my zero, is it more likely the fault of the optic or the mount? Is the repeatability of zero still a feature with a cheaper optic? Is this mount sturdy enough to use as a carry handle sometimes? i find myself picking the gun up by the optic sometimes because I'm used to the old carry handle style, and I figured that a cheap chinese mount might not be the best thing to grab on to. I know it's not the right "tool for the job" but out of habit I always pick it up by the mount. Lastly, any larue.com coupon codes or student discounts or anything I should know about? Thanks guys. |

The mount is more than up to the task. Your sight will fail long before the mount will. My last trip to the sandbox, my M4 came uncliped from my vest and fell upside down onto the acog. My acog wears a LT100. I was able to comfirm zero a few weeks later, didn't move a gnat's ass. You can't go wrong with a LT mount, and you will fall in love with the Dillo Dust |
