I have a TX-4 Head currently mounted on a Surefire M961XM07.

I am trying to remove a little weight from the front of the weapon.  In looking at the M2C adapter for the TX-4 Head, I would like to know if i were to remove the front section of my 961 battery tube (the section that holds the 3rd battery) and replace it with the M2C adapter, will I be able to use my TX-4 Head?

or, to put it another way, is the section of the 961's battery tube that is integral to the mount the same as the 951's?

thanks

That is not going to work. That section screws INTO the housing, so the M2C cannot attach. Hope this helps.

thanks for the speedy reply!

would you tell me what size/pitch the threads are on the "back end" of the M2C (if it does not violate and rules or policies).  I may do a little fabrication...

ETA-Disregard

I see it is the same threading as my G2.  I will just use that for sizing.

Thanks again!
