I finally picked up an LMT SOPMOD buttstock kit from a board member. It has been a fun project and I think that I am finally done....unless I find a good deal on a PEQ-2  Parts include: - Colt Match Target 6400C lower - Colt M4 upper receiver w/ 6921HB/SOCOM barrel (14.5" w/ permanently attached long A2 FH) - Colt M16 bolt & carrier group - LMT SOPMOD stock kit - Aimpoint M2 w/ Wilcox mount & killflash - Matech BUIS - KAC RAS kit     Cheers |

The RAS is the cat's ass Seriously though; it is sturdy and gets the job done with minimal installation effort and has a realtively low profile when compared to other drop in rails. It is also a huge plus that they can be had for cheap these days. You may also want to research the Omega rail by D.D. as it is suppose to be a really nice alternative with some improvements. Cheers |
