I just got a pair of MBUS and I noticed the front post was not straight and was canted to the right side of the sight. The post is pretty high and I will need to screw it down to where I need it to be to line up with my 517. So, is this OK and will it right itself when I run it down? Any help from Magpul or my fellow AR.comers would be appreciated!

Cross-threaded perhaps?  Can you remove and attempt to screw it on without cross-threading?

We have seen some crooked front sight posts from our supplier but we usally catch them before they go out. If you have an issue we will swap it out for you pronto.

OK. I will get the sight in the mail soon for a replacement. Can you give me the adress to send the sight to? Thanks!

Your pics did not post. My front post is not striaght. I'm going to try and right it by screwing it down, but if it does not work out I'm sending it back to Magpul for a replacement.

Anyone with this issue can exchange the site with us directly no matter where they bought it. We have made some changes in production that fixes this from occuring.

Are the mbus compatible with tritium front posts or kits like the one from AmeriGlow?
