Howdy all, I just purchased a S&W M&P15 OR - which I believe has a Troy railed gas block. I purchased a set of MI sights - FFR for the front and a SPLP for the rear. The rear looks & works great - the FFR seems to have a problem. If I put the sight on the block so the whole sight is over the block, the sight is locked into the down position if I mounted it in the down position to start with. If I mount it sight up, it will close down some, but not all the way before binding. If I mount it so it hangs off the block, it works smoothly. I'd rather have it mount completely over the block - not only for looks, but for strength. Is this the way it is supposed to work? Can it be fixed or adjusted?
