| Why don't you use 7075 in place of 6061? A big difference in strength. I haven't seen a finite element analysis on forged 7075 receivers vs. 6061 billets, but I would venture a guess they are stronger than billet 6061s. I would be a player for your billets if they were 7075. |

Here is the most recent discussion about the topic: 6061 v 7075 We chose 6061-T6 since it works well and fulfills the needs of our lower, if you are set on 7075 unfortunately our lower will not work for you.
