Hey guys, I ordered an ss15 gen 2 handguard and I was having a hard time getting it to line up with the top of my receiver.
I thought my barrel nut was slightly misaligned, so I took it off and made sure it was exact. Still cant get it even with the top. Well, I put the assembled upper upside down on a flat surface, and it appears that the handguard is not flat. It seems to curve up at the muzzle end. It is very slight, just enough to get a sheet of paper to slide under. Is this a common manufacturing error, or did I just get a dud? |

It could be an issue with your upper receiver rail being slightly oversized causing a step down to the hand guard rail.
Can you take a few side profile and down the side shot pictures of the receiver and hand guard and send them to me in an email? My email address is [email protected] . I'll check them out and see what's going on with your upper. Thank You Andy MI |
