My bolt's marked MPXC with the paint glob.  Bolt carrier is full circle and marked with an A?  My other Colt carrier is half circle marked C.  

I've seen MPC before but not MPXC.  Significance?

the X is a date code.
mine, is marked MPGC with a dash above the G.

The"A" stands for Advanced Armament Corp. I've been told they are a USGI supplier of M16 carriers.
