Does anyone use this mount (Daniel Defense Mount) as a forward attachment for their MS2?

If so, how is it?

It looks like my choices are this or the CQD forward mount.

Thanks

Should work fine. It's pretty much a heavy-duty metal version of the RSA that Magpul is coming out with.

thanks, that's pretty much what i was thinking. I just can't seem to find anyone that actually has the DD one in stock.

BTW  The RSA will be made of metal too...

It's on my "Buy" list JB.  Patiently waiting...

I know, I know. Before anyone gives me the standard Magpul response, any idea on when the RSA will be released?

I've got one. Works well with the MS2. My only complaints are that the DD sling mount doesn't have the gentle inward curve that the RSA has, so it really sticks out there; and the DD doesn't have rounded edges, so it is a bit unforgiving of quick strikes with sloppy hands. I'll be getting an RSA when they become available.

do you think you could bend the DD mount if you heat it up?

Oops, I knew that. Slipped my mind I guess.

I'm neither a iron-worker or mettalurgist, so I wouldn't be the guy who'd want to try that. Plus, I haven't got the tools. Would need a torch and some sort of press to bend it. (If I used a vise and a clamp, I'd be concerned about bending something I wouldn't want to bend given the relatively small size of the part.)

ETA pr0n ... Not a good shot of the part in question––I don't have a better one––but here it is anyway.
