I am considering adding a 3x magnifier onto my carbine to be used in conjunction with a EOTech XPS2-0 which I already have mounted.
Will the Aimpoint magnifier with LT755-30S mount combo currently listed on LaRue's site be compatible and provide proper height alignment? http://www.laruetactical.com/comboaimpoint-3x-magnifier-11324-and-lt755-30s-qd-mount-short I see Larue also offers a new mount to fit the EOTech magnifier... LT755-EO http://www.laruetactical.com/pivot-mount-short-eotech-3x-magnifier-lt755-eo Is this mount correct for proper height alignment of my XPS? Is there a reputable source I can purchase the EOTech G23 magnifier seperately without having to buy the Samson/ARMS FTS mount? Any chance LaRue will offer a EOTech magnifier with LT755-EO mount combo in the near future? 
If both setup's ARE compatible, I suppose it boils down to which is the better magnifier between the 2 mentioned... your thoughts and advice? EDIT: Not sure why links are not working... what am I doing wrong?

I have an Aimpoiunt 3x magnifier in an LT755-30S behind an EOTech XPS2-0. I am very satisfied.

The LT755-30S was designed for the EOTech to be mounted on the weapon directly without LaRue's LT110.
The LT755-30T has the right alignment for my XPS3.0 on the LT110 as seen in the pic below. I did mount the XPS backwards on the LT110 so I would not have as big of a gap cause by the short raised rail on the LT100. I went with a Vortex VMX3 behind my XPS3 since I don't think a 3x magnifier should cost as much as the red dot/holo sight. The Vortex's come with an uncondtional lifetime warranty too. I'm glad LaRue came out with their own EOTech G23 mount and if I already had that magnifier I would be ordering that mount in a heartbeat.

After my MPO order was cancelled today because the last one was damaged (or so they said, I knew the price was too good to be true) I also spoke with Will tabout ordering the EXPS or MPO but he indicated they weren't interested in special ordering from EOTech an item not in the regular LT lineup. My hang up is the extra length on the LT110 that won't be used with a FTS mount. That and EXPS + LT775 + magnifier or XPS + LT110 + LT775 + magnifier = might as well get the MPO.

Well, I can understand how they would not order something they don't normally carry... I don't think it's as much about their profit margin as it would be about having to mark the price up and pass the difference on to you. LT IS a business, and businesses exist to make profit/money, but in my limited experience with them, they do not place profits above their customers' satisfaction. Only YOU know what it is you really want to do with / be able to do with your sight/magnifier setup, and what you're willing to spend... I personally went with the 110+602S, for my XPS2-2/Aimpoint 3XMag. I was more interested in being able to install/remove the EOTech + Magnifier in one stroke, instead of having the FTS capability, since the 2-2's reticle was so damned tiny (to my old eyes) without the magnifier. The 602S mounts up on the raised rail at the back of the 110, and I can pull it off individually if needed, but like I said, the FTS was not really the most important feature for me, so... As for the magnifier, I'm really tempted to add one of the VMX3s to my kit bag... At the risk of getting teased for it, I paid about $350 for my Aimpoint 3XMag... It's great glass, but I could have gotten two VMX3s for the same price... Going to look at one next time I head up to OKC for my "Daddy Time" at the range... |

As to the reticle aligment, thank you, I just wish I had heard of Vortex before I bought my Aimpoint 3x... |

I could be reading this wrong, but...
It places the centerline of the magnifier 1.75” above the top of the rail and is meant to be mounted to the flat top behind the optic
add to the previous sentence, and it says to me that if you're using the EXPS (with the riser already in place), that you would use the FTS directly behind. As far as the LT-110 goes... NOTE: The LT-110 EOTech Mount will work correctly with 511, 512, 551, 552, XPS-2, XPS-3 and similar models. It will NOT work with 516, 553 or 557 models (because they have a built-in riser).
The EXPS isn't included in that list, but it does have the built-in riser... I do understand the concern... You want to get it right first time. Same with me. Will and Luke probably jump and run when they see my number pop up on the caller ID...

Spoke with JP this morning and at first he said they didn't have any EOTech magnifier mounts but after asking my question another way, we came to a resolution and I have the LT755 on order (along with some other stuff ) Will post a review on the site and of course snap some pictures. Now I just need to figure out what I can do, or if I want to hang onto, the ARMS and Samson mount.

Still workin' out the kink's but I think I have the mount's (mostly) figured out...
Some of the EOTech holographic sight's are mounted in such a way that it incorperates an additional 7mm of height (aprox) from the rail to the center of view. In these cases, you would select the LT755-30T (tall)version of the mount to lift the magnifier up for proper sight picture alignment with your HWS. Other versions of EOTech HWS may not add additional height (such as my version) and would require the LT755-30S (short) for proper sight picture alignment. |

Well, I was hoping to slightly offset the cost of the LT mount by ridding myself of the inferior mount, but perhaps it should remain in the EOTech tupperwear until such time as I rid myself of the G23, then EE the LT755. Ordered a covert rifle case last night (backordered BTW) and still have an itch to pull the trigger on an OBR or PredatOBR (the latter is likely the reason an order has not yet been placed). Anybody want to buy some Ping irons?

LT755-S-EO received!
LT on the left, ARMS/Samson on the right 
Although it is hard to tell in the picture, there is 7MM difference between the two mounts with the LT being the taller of the two. 
Adding the 7MM riser to the ARMS/Samson mount on the right brings the mounts to the same level. 
In my opinion the LT mount is much better than the ARMS/Samson combo. If you have an EOTech HWS with integrated riser, this is the FTS mount for your G23. If you have an EOTech HWS on a LT QD mount, this also the FTS mount for your G23.
