Quoted: I'd snag the KAC PDW one. It's not cheap but it's designed exactly for what you're doing. $60 for a hand stop that includes a QD swivel ($20?) is pretty darn cheap. I was considering selling mine and keeping the swivel, but i managed to find a use for it. It's made of a aluminum (extra weight), and the KAC mounting bracket can be uncomfortable on the fingers. I'd get a Magpul polymer version if possible. |

ERGO makes one, as well. It's polymer and around $5.00. -Ed I'd have to take a dremel to that abortion! I looks like a tactical hang-your-rifle-on-a-nail device. Seems silly. I always used my front sight post to hang my M-16 by a nail. But, the ERGO stop looks really silly. Might as well buy a normal VFG, saw out the middle bit and epoxy it back together. |

What do you expect for $5.00?
-Ed Exactly. Looks like wouldn't even clamp down well, then snap off later. I have a 3.5" from Spike's and it's pretty stubby and works really well and is billeted aluminum (I don't know what "billeted" really means, but it sounds good). Spike's Foregrip |
