I'm curious if Magpul might be willing to make a slight mod to thier trigger guard. I tried to install mine on my AR10 lower, and there is a small interference on the front radius that srrounds the forward trigger opening. A slightly larger radius on the guard would allow these to be used on the AR10's as well, opening up your marketing area. A customer COULD buy one and make the mod themselves, but they'd then need to refinish it so it didn't look sloppy. On the other hand, if Magpul took the initiative to make this small change, they'd demonstrate a desire to statisfy their customer base, and most likely gain more customers. Just an idea. |

Hey Kletz... I order a couple of these triggerguards for my AR-15's and I also got one last week for a new AR-10 project. Below is a pic of the unit installed on an Eagle AR-10 lower. It took about two minutes with a dremel cut-off wheel to make the mod. The only area of visible finish-wear is the shiny spot see on the picture...the other side I did a slightly better job on, so no visible issues at all. I will likely fish out my can of Brownell's flat black teflon moly and touch up the spot you see, but it really wouldn't be necessary. BTW...the flash on the camera makes it look worse than it is. Given the number of individuals that will buy this product for their AR-15's as compared to those that might buy for an AR-10, it is not likely worth Magpul's time to mess with it (especially when they should be working on the M95 hought ORD out... http://www.parkcitiestactical.com/album/00002157/Magpul_AR10.jpg |
