Any chance of a LaRue TranQuilo 5.56 Muzzle Brake/Adapter offered in a non-threaded version for us suppressor unfriendly states just looking for a good muzzle brake? I could go with the surefire, but I like the style/design of Larue's and I'm sure it's comparable performance wise.

Although, I'm sure you guys have a huge order list piling up on the TranQuilos and brakes. I could understand if you didn't want to get into spending the man hours to manufacture regular mz brakes, when you could be cranking out some Stealth 2.0's.

Just a thought, I'd take 2 non-threaded brakes if you were on the fence about making some up.

We can't even have muzzlebrake or threaded barrels anymore without a maglock. We can't have more than one evil feature unless we have the maglock device to permanently affix our 10 round mag (that we can only have 7 rounds max in, unless we're at a range, then the suits say 10 is OK.

It's a pretty sad state of affairs here. I went to cabelas to grab some ammo they had a clearance sale on and they didn't have any in stock. An employee there told me out of their 70+ stores nationwide, NY's store was the only one that couldn't even order ammo themselves, let alone have customers order and ship to the store. Home office just sends them what they send them and the customers have to deal with it.

And they say sportsman and legal gun owners won't be effected.  I can't even buy the turkey loads I like in spring locally.

Wouldn't it be easier/more cost effective to make a thread protector and pin/weld it on? Would also allow you to "repair" it in the future when it can be restored.

This guy says I might have overdid it a little ...

LaRue TranQuilo 5.56 Muzzle Brake/Adapter (First Webstore review)

"Alright, let's get this review under way.
First: top notch product, great design. Total recoil control. Note; this will not eleminate All recoil. But left to right drift is zero, up and down... Well that part surprised me... Zero up, but it instead went down. Not sure if y'all will have this. I need to do more testing to be sure. But my test showed me that it drove the barrel down. Which at first bothered me, however I was able to adjust myself to the new way it drifted quickly and found that I was able to have very fast follow up shots. Now this is a brake, this sucker is loud. Think Surefire Comp. so none of this tough guy stuff, get your ears. I've tried a fair number of breaks, and I know the good and the bad. So far I rate this in the GOOD. I will update more after I have had more time to test it out.
Second: felt recoil was a bit of a snap, I was using a Surefire Comp before this. The SF comp pushed me back, so you felt it drive you back with rapid fire. This snapped back, not hard or painful, it just was a solid snap. Though I did not feel it push me or drive me back at all. Just a POP in the shoulder which didn't cause any user drift. The perceived recoil was very low, and very controllable. First three shots were weird since it drove the barrel down, think KRISS, which is very odd at first since we are used to it drifting up. This I noticed kept the target in my sight picture. Now when I locked it down to test out normal shooting the downward drive was almost unnoticeable. Big Plus.
Third: install was simple. As to be expected. Nothing to write about.
Fourth: weight, which is a big issue for me. Ounces = pounds. Pretty light. No noticeable added weight.
So to sum up. Great product. I will be doing ALOT more testing, but from what I've found it does have that downward drive. It's a bold move by LaRue, let's see if it pays off.

I'd say "over doing it" is par for the course with you guys. Amazing design and stellar performance on everything you guys make. I've got the Tranquillo Mz Brake on one of those .300blk UHFO that I managed to grab up on EE and I can concur with this gentleman above, except for the downward drive and the bold move part.

Sure thing, I'll let you know. I just purchased 300rnds of the PNW Range, Match and Hunting. Glass should be here Wednesday. I'll post up something on Sunday, hopefully.

This .300 BLK is going back home to it's birthplace... My buddy's and I are are coming down to TX to hunt some turks in April. However, I really want to come down to let that .300Blackout rip and roar on some of those TX hogs. Stack 'em up and put them in that fancy Larue Yeti and dillo dust 'em when I get back to NY.

Hey now, don't lump PA in with the likes of those other states.
