Are there plans for a .22LR conversion for the Masada/ACR? There are 2 excellent reasons a .22LR Masada/ACR conversion should be produced: 1. Most of us cannot afford to shoot 5.56 ammo at the current skyhigh prices. 2. A .22LR conversion installed in a Masada/ACR would make the Masada/ACR 100% legal in California, which is the largest single state gun market in the country (CA assault weapon laws do not apply to rimfire rifles). .22LR conversions for AR-15s have become extremely popular in CA for this reason. Additionally, the greatest .22LR conversion problem, reliable magazines, has already been overcome. Black Dog Machine .22LR mags are designed to fit the AR-15 magwell, and they are the most reliable .22LR mags ever. The Masada/ACR should be able to use them no problem. So Magpul, please tell us, can we dream of this and hope maybe one day it will come true? |

So DrDrake doesn't have to add one more cut and paste to his rapporteur ETA: still not sure if it's spelled right... |

Once again, it was not too long ago when Magpul would have responded that this sounds like fun idea and that they think the could get around to doing some work on it in about 8 or 9 months. That quote would have turned into a flame war 8 or 9 months later by dipsticks who would have taken said comment as a quote for production and sales. They'd spin around and round bitching and moaning about things until, like the turds they are, they'd flush to the bottom of the bowl and away they'd go. I don't blame Rich, Drake and the gang for backing off on most comments. Until guys who post on message board such as this one can think before they post, it'll probably (and regrettably) remain the same. Keep up the good work, Magpul. |
