Just bought a PA micro dot from EE and I have a question on the brightness. Even turned up to 11 (max) in bright daylight I would say it's just visible. Any less would be a problem. The only thing I have to judge this by is my aim pointpro. Turned to max during the day it's way brighter, to the point the dot blurs. So is this normal? Or would this be a problem with this micro dot?

Sounds like a problem with that particular unit.  The one I recently bought from PA is fine in bright daylight around 6 or 7.

Ya if its on 6 or 7 during the day you have to struggle to pick up the dot at all.

Hi bchance1,

It is possible that the battery is the issue, barring that give us a call

I put a new battery in and it was exactly the same. But like I said I have no point of reference other than my aimpoint pro. Also this is a model md-05. I don't want  to say anything is wrong with it. And it's hard to put into words a subjective thing like brightness. I guess what I would like someone to tell me is if the PA should be comparable to an aimpoint brightness. If the answer is yes then I would say there is a problem. And if that's the case I don't know if there is anything PA could do since I am not the original purchaser. Just want to have full disclosure here.

It won't go as bright as your Aimpoint but should be easily visible in bright daylight use. Does not matter that you bought it used. If you want us to check it out we will make sure it is up to spec or repair .

Thanks so much! That's amazing to stand behind your product like that. I took it out again today and in bright light it's visible but not easily visable. So I will call Monday and find out how and where to send it so you all can tell me if I'm crazy or not lol.
