Obviously the system won't work on shorter barrels where the front sight can't be adjusted enough in some cases, but they are using a different part in that case anyway. The last part of your post is just nonsense. No one who works at Pedersoli was alive when muskets were in service, same with the CMP and M1 Garands, so I guess they can't make them? Read my original post. A simple technical question to Mike. It's a legitimate question he didn't answer. A manufacturer substituting parts on their replica that are out of spec with original. Not a troll here but a good customer. I own 3 H&R's. To your curiosity. Nowhere did I say any front sight system (FSB, FSP) that ultimately winds up the correct M16A2 design height (~2.6") above the centerbore, the rear elevation would not work properly. Your non-sense comment. Nowhere in any post did I say a competent, trained qualified armorer or company can't build a clone right. Not all builders or manufacturers today are. I've owned several M40, M40A1 built to original specs by USMC 2112 armorers. Pedersoli own one, a .58 caliber percussion musket. They've been in business 70 years. Owned by same people making same things. |

The rifles zero at 25y with only 6-7 clicks from flush on the front sight post. On a carbine it generally doesn’t work, so we use .625” rifle height FSB’s. There is a point of diminishing returns on clone rifles. We have to balance the number of inventory sku’s vs perfection. And you can’t please everyone even when you do it correctly. I literally just read posts on YouTube about the 606 that clearly demonstrate that people don’t know what a 606 is. Or that there is an early version, and a late version. |

Yeah I’m thankful you are at the helm. You are not new to the Retro Divas, and you don’t let them dictate your business. People would be surprised to find out how little correlation there is between the volume of complaints on websites like these and actual sales. |

Got your H&R M16A1 and XM177. Both are shooters ~ 2 MOA with M193. This M16A2 H&R is my third purchase. Hope it shoots as good as the other two. * Addendum: Small detail on my new H&R M16A2 out the box. The elevation bottomed out at -4 clicks counterclockwise from 8/3. USMC Manual MCRP 301-A states this should be -3 (p 87) or take to armorer. Easily reset by me with 1/16" Allen wrench to -3 clicks in ~10 min. |

@mike_nds: Two product suggestions: 1) Colt Canada “CS” buttstock. 2) Replica green C7/C7A1 furniture. Would be nice to have actual round handguards with proper heat shields rather than a foil heat shield in a washed out green. Aforementioned CS stock would be a good option. B5’s retro green CAR-15 stuff is decent - used an H&R 14.7” barrel to build a replica C8. |

Guy on AKFiles was making gooseneck mounts for Cmore options. Not sure if he has added to the lineup. Wish he would do M21 and RX01 mounts as well. |

Picked up two A1s to join the 20" master race pile. Swapping in some surplus furniture eventually. Also got two lowers and didn't know they were blems until after the transfer. Put in a help request for a $40 credit but I reckon I'll be eating that difference. Oh, well. Retro all the things. Attached File |

I genuinely thought I was losing my mind because I was having such a hard time. I have a A4gery that’s getting to the point where I’m watching the barrel. It would be super convenient if I could snag an assembly from Psa/hr and just chuck it in the safe for when I need it. |

I do not won’t PSA/H&R to get discouraged with “brisk” sales as he put it. Just a bad time right now for gun sales imo. But I’m doing my part. lol 2 maks 1 star 30m And an anaconda this week. lol |

Hence me asking. |

You can also backorder Colt 20" barrel in Brownells. You won't get charged until they have barrel ready for shipping. I did this and very happy with Brownells process. If you have C&R 03 FFL, you are eligible for discounted pricing. https://www.brownells.com/gun-parts/rifle-parts/rifle-barrels-parts/m16-5.56-replacement-barrel-20/ |

Any pics of a DOE upper with the handguards off? I assume just a normal setup under shorter hg’s and single pin gas block? I’ve got an idea using spare bbl I have Edit - nm, I see a pic of the assly on the site. What’s the OD of the gas block journal? Normal 0.750 it appears? |

| Mine is about the same as your, but a bit lighter. For $700 for a M16A1 upper, I guess I expect better quality control. This is my 7th H&R retro Nam build and it’s no where close to even being passable. That said… has Mike addressed it or any luck with Customer Service? I really don’t want to pay someone to paint the receiver set when I just spent 700 on the upper |

It's been brought up before, IIRC it's just not realistic to have consistency across batches, but I would have thought you could get closer than that. I've seen a number of complaints on Reddit lately about drastic differences. |

I know it's annoying, but it has been addressed before, doesn't impact function, and it honestly is more accurate to the visual of retro service weapons. I get it, but I also got mine coming out nearly perfect, so maybe I don't. |

Yes, some variation existed and if you look at period photos you'll occasionally see a huge difference, but typically they were relatively close. |
