Mainly what length barrel you want them to work on. If its under 16" it has to be permanent permanent unless you are SBRing or using it for Pistol upper. But they may do the work and not ask, etc. Silver Solder alone is not legal means per ATF to perma attach FHs |

This is in the context of a device attached to a shortened barrel to bring it up to the 16.1" length requirement. Check out para 2.1.3 from the ATF Handbook |
