SO after a few years of trying everything under the sun. I have finally came to the combo that works best for me.  Before someone complains about no SOPMOD stock.. I know, I wanted to use it. I love the SOPMOD, but its heavy. not a back breaker, but for what I wanted to do with this gun, it  just did not balance right, now I can  get into any crazy position  and fire accurately.  manipulate it one handed and even one handed weak handed. and I can walk a lot of miles with it.

now I have a light for a 16 inch barrel carbine.  its fast. very accurate, and fits my needs as  what I tihnk of as "direct action"  not the Mils version, but mine.  I also have a Ta31F ACOG  with larue mounts that would go with this gun  in situations that may have use for the 4x. specs  are

Colt 6940
KAC 600 meter BUIS
Daniel Defense  QD sling mounting point at rear of rail
Aimpoint  T-1  with larue mount
Tango down battel grip  FDE
Larue index clips FDE
KAC  VFG
Magpul  CTR stock
Bravo Company gunfighter charging handle Mod 4
BAD lever  ( not added yet)
Vickers combat application sling
Surefire M951.

tell me what you think guys
be gentle

yeah I will.  I intended to get one. but Xmas wiped out my budget for now, bought the GF a laptop so the scout is one hold.   I will get one for sure. it goes with my idea of making the gun lighter.

for the other guy, I do like the BAD lever.  it makes reloads smoking fast, but more importantly to me, it really helps with malfunction drill manipulations,  its so easy to lock the bolt back with your trigger finger.   I took it off temporary because I was using it on another rifle,   I am not completely sold on it yet, but I like the BAD  lever for matches and stuff

Shawn,

You really need to jump on the NFA train.

Lookin' good, I did the opposite, I tried as hard as I could to like the CTR, you know, so I could be MagPul ARFCOM cool... but I ended up going back to Colt M4 stocks and SOPMODs.  Silly thing is, I still bought a Vltor Clubfoot because Bravo had them for $50, and I'm thinking about getting an ACS to try out.  I'm a stock whore.

yeah  they are fine. but I like QD  mounting points for my slings.  and I  do like the locking feature of the ugly ass CTR.    I really wanted a coyote SOPMOD  but they are heafty and cost a lot for a stock.   who knows?  its hard t tell what stock it will have in 6 months

i kept a ACOG on mine for a very long time.  but for  absolute  speed when you cant get in a normal position where eye relief is not gonna happen, they just fall short
