Picked up my new toy this afternoon.  Went with a RRA AR1291 (Car A4 w/ quad rail free float handguard, and added an A2 rear site)

Any advice on maintenance and such.  I've researched quite a bit and have a basic understanding of stripping it down, but what areas should I pay attention to when cleaning and lubing?  Also, and do's and dont's?

thanks,
Dan

I hope you love yours like I do mine. 100% reliable so far the best rifle I have ever owned. I don't have any advise because I am new too. if you haven't read the Maint. info. linkson the sight do that. Should tell you everything you need to know.

I think Steve will tell you to keep the bolt lubed & cleaned.  It will come apart into 5 pieces--I got help on that the first time through--its very easy, but for me it was nice to have someone tell me "Step 1, step 2, etc."  The rest is obvious in terms of barrel cleaning, etc.  Again, good luck, and congrats!

Thanks to both, I'll check the maint section as well.
The first "issue" I've noticed is my upper and lower don't seem to fit as tightly as I had expected.  (based on other posts and my research)  Heck, even the card in the case that explains how to put the halves together suggest a "tight fit".  I have a little play in mine, and it's evident when I twist the upper and lower while joined.  Oh well, not a big issue I'm sure.
