Wow someone's ears were ringing. While using my dillo today I was thinking if it would be easier to laser etch rather than silkscreen. Granted the initial startup would be more expensive but in the long term it would really make things easier.
I'm glad they made the move. |

You can see the miniscule dimples from each hit of the laser. The Ft. Hood and other earlier ones are silkscreened as you can see the fuzzier ends of the screen. |

Ya, I do recall seeing something along that line.
I brought out the big magnifier and you can see the individual shots of the laser giving it a pockmarked appearance and there is an ever so slight heat wave on the coating surrounding the area. Unfortunately I can't take photos of t to show. |

Unfortunately I can't take photos of t to show. that 'heat wave' on the coating area can be seen in my last photo posted above. now, not be argumentative, and especially since I don 't know, is everybody in agreement and CERTAIN that earlier dillos were silkscreened? i agree modern ones are laser etched-without a doubt. |
