I have a recently aquired 14.5 inch Noveske barrel that I'm going to have to send to you to pin a flashider on for me . DAMN Illinois! My question is , I purchased this barrel as part of a combo deal from Denny's Guns/GTS and it came with a second gas block and the KX3 flash hider . I have not seen many KX3's on 14.5" barrels . Should I not have it permanently mounted ? Any feedback you could give me would be appreciated . It's hard to believe GTS would set up a package that wouldn't be a perfect match up . Since this is going to be permanent I don't want to make a mistake . Please let me know your thoughts as I would like to get it on the way to you .

I'm sure it will work just fine. That being said, if it were mine, i would sell it. Because, to make it "look" right, you need it to butt, or nearly, up against a FF HG. There are rails long enough (with cut barrel) to work, but the weight way out there makes it front heavy. The KX3 is designed for an SBR. Hope that helped.

I would suggest a different hider for that application - sell the KX3, and replace it with an SEI Vortex, VLTOR VC-1, SDI Extended A2, or a YHM unit.
13.7" with KX3 is a nice combination, but as mentioned above, to look right it needs to be a muzze heavy brake coupled with a long, heavy 13.5" rail system. |
| Guys , Thanks for the replies , it's exactly what I was looking for . I think I have a Vortex in my parts box that I can use instead . The Kx3 will go on EE later this week . I'll get it all boxed up and out on Thursday after ordering the service online . What is your turnaround time running with all this madness going on ? |
