| As I previously posted I am probably going to get a CR6720 for coyote hunting. I have read on other forums (varmit hunting forums ) that they are not worth the money since the new Colts parts cannot be interchanged with other type AR platforms. Only Colt parts. Also, I have read Colt has gone to larger holes for pins and such...is this true ? Currenty I have a LE6940 and really enjoy it. It is my first AR and the reason I picked Colt was their quality and resale value. Could someone educate me on the newer Colts that a layman on Colts can understand. Thanks in advance ! |

Thanks in advance ! almost everything you heard is wrong. the cr6720 uses all standard parts. only the older models before 09 used a few larger parts, and that was some fire control parts and a very long time ago, the front pivot pin everything else can be swapped around, though you would not reallt need to unless you wanted a new barrel or matc trigger I have a cr6724 and its awesome. 1/2 moa reliably and i use it to shoot to 1000 yards occasionally with 77 grain sierra match kinds handloads, but i think i would like the model you metion better if i was carrying it around hunting with it, and i will get one after i pick up a sp901 |
