[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Need some info, LT (Page 1 of 9)

So when do we get angry? When do we start asking WTF? When are rifles that were ordered 16 months ago (like mine) going to arrive?
No answer? That stopped being clever or funny months ago. At this point, it just sucks. I have supported and loved LT for five years -- I live in Austin! -- but when is it time to get angry? Maybe now? No word? No answer? Nothing? I ordered my OBR years ago when the price was +-$2500 and LT gave me sooo many goodies. That was great... So what now? Why the silence? You have $1500 of my money -- I deserve to know what is going on. You need to speak. Tell us what is happening. We need to know... What about my PTOBR/SCOBR? Can we just have some information, please? C'mon, LT, we're trying. We love you guys. Throw us a bone... First guy to say 'two weeks' is a dick and a dumb ass. Not funny. We have skin in the game... This is serious... Kerry |
Agreed. I have a $1500 stripped lower, a $2000 piece of glass, and probably $1000 worth of other accessories (Purchased from LT) all sitting in my safe and we can't even get an ETA? When I placed my order I was led to believe it would be 3 months or so and that the wait for a tOBR would be the same for the other models. Now guys that ordered late October 2012 are getting their rifles completed and guys that ordered over 7 months before that are still without a rifle...
|
I want some accurate and honest (two weeks huh) information and I wouldn't have ordered if 15 months later I knew my order was not going to be completed. Its hard to believe that all that money is sitting in an account and not being used that was collected from the lowers and guys who paid upfront! In a way seeing that larue 22 upper on gunbroker just pours salt in my wound and what is secretly going on at larue
|
|
WTF? is right. Mounts I have received from LT have been great but to stay standing in line for a non existent rifle is nuts... no thanks. Send your shit back and get something in stock.
This is the first time I have bitched on this forum and will not do so again... |

First guy to say 'two weeks' is a dick and a dumb ass.
The "a few weeks" (or two weeks) thing is actually a dig on Mark, who posted that it sould be a few weeks. . .a couple of months ago now. The Larue cheerleaders have picked it up trying to make it their own, but it's amusing because they keep bringing up the last misinformation given out and keeping it nice and fresh in our minds :). |

When I reach my limit and send my lower back, I will be at a point of so much pissed offism that I will sale EVERYTHING I have that was made by Larue Tactical. The hats, dillios, will be trashed, and I will be done with it. Sad that it has come to this. What dillos you got? |
|
I would also like to know about tAR's and when they will be flowing again.
Was told 16 weeks and am at almost a year (ordered Aug 20 something) on a known rifle and also have a tOBR parts kit in the safe. I just wish the "2 weeks" info would of been as accurate as LT rifles. |

This will get out of hand and we will be lucky to survive it. I thought long and hard about that before I posted. I know what's probably coming my way. But, I'm hoping some of those guys that normally go on the attack will realize the absurdity of this situation and say, "You know, the man has a point." |

Maybe, your thread has been up for 10 hrs and no post by BCV or Harley, maybe they are getting frustrated too. Although Harley would just go play with his arsenal of LT guns and feel better tho

No one is thinking you don't have a point because you do. We can bitch all we want but that isn't going to change anything. ETA: For what it's worth I canceled my TOBR order. |

This is really what some are frustrated about... the lack of communication from LT says to customers that they don't matter and that really pisses off some people. |

Lately I have considered selling my OBR's and going with a different company altogether, as well as trying to return my PredatOBR lower. What's going on here is just not in line with the great customer service Larue is known for. I suppose that Larue probably has made contingency plans for this, but if the barrel mfg doesn't work out they could fall on really hard times. One has to wonder what's going on over there. The fact that I have $2300.00 tied up in a PredatOBR is concerning. To think, I thought I was getting an OBR with a PredaTAR handguard when I ordered in May, 2012.

Wow. The silence on this thread is making me uncomfortable. I expected to be attacked from every angle. Since I'm not, yet, I have to ask, "LT, are you listening?" Its hard to attack comments that ring true. My guess is even the fanboys are secretly concerned. I sure want to believe that we are going to get something above and beyond what we all ordered, but i am very concerned. LT is losing its fanbase each day they ignore threads like these. |

The worst part is that it isnt even the configuration we ordered 16 MONTHS AGO. Im still in, but I cringe at every Larue product launch of late. Agreed. This might be the coolest thing since sliced bread, but it isn't what I ordered. I just wanted a heavier barrel in a PredatAR chassis. I'm into shit that does not fail. This may be rock solid, but it isn't what I ordered. At the risk of going really dark and inviting attacks... LT should not underestimate our ability to do math. Six months ago (at the SHOT Show) some number of us (500?, 1000?, 2000?) paid $1500 for $400 worth of parts. Assuming it was 1000 of us, that's well over a million dollars. Now, six months later, a whole bunch of new barrel manufacturing equipment shows up, but our rifles are no where to be seen. This warrants an explanation. Why didn't LT charge us $500 for the stripped lower and some goodies? Where is my $1000? If we are 'investors', then why are we in the dark? I'm not saying that's what happened, I'm just saying that anyone with a brain can do the math. The whole thing is starting to make me sick. LT, can you please salvage this? For all of us? Just tell us what's going on. |

Fanboy, cheerleader, goalie, or whatever other name you want to call me here
Since none of your posts mention it, I got to ask. Has anybody called the shop and asked them what's up? I don't think I've seen it mentioned in any of these whiner posts that they called the shop and were told to fuck off, two weeks, or go piss up a rope. Just asking. Don't really care but I am curious. |

Yes, they just play dumb. +1 Y'all's specificity is astounding. Who are you? You have a what on order? Duh..... I don't know I'm sorry, I didn't eat my breakfast this morning. Could you call back tomorrow? Every time I've called the shop they have bent over backward to help me. He'll, they have even contacted me to help out some SOF friends of mine. No, I don't have a rifle on order but yes I sympathize with the wait y'all have endured. However, none of these threads describe the company I have been dealing with all these years. Meh, like I said, just curious. |

Meh, like I said, just curious. My experience has been they tell me they don't know any lead times and won't guess... except for when I placed my first order they said 3-4 months (12-16 weeks). Everyone has been really nice and tried to be helpful but I don't think that they are not being told how long its going to be. At this point it would be worse to say, "2 more months" and be wrong than "I don't know." Just to be clear, I do love all of my LT products and will wait for my (dealer ordered 8-20something-2012) tAR and 11/2012 tOBR but I really hope that some info comes out soon and that the new barrels are as good or better then the LW they were using before (which I am sure that they will be or I would cancel my order). |
|
One more thing to think about guys:
What if the barrels are not up to snuff and some tAR's and tBOR's come out. Testing is done by the fine members here and they are not accurate. I bet that you would see a windfall of canceled orders right away. That being said, I am sure that LT has thought about this and is doing everything that they can to build the best barrel... Unfortunately its taking a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time
Also, still waiting for Harley's response

It's sad that he's the only fanboy left, on Larue's own forum. My guess is the AR 15 barrel extension to upper fit was not made for a QD barrel design and giving the scobr poi shifts. To test this just undo your barrel on your AR and put it back on and you will see the poi shift. New barrels will, my guess, be designed to interface with a new upper design. Give me what I ordered please, the proven OBR barrel, and slide a predatar rail on it! And I will be happy. Mark must be really pissed off right now..."because if your not happy we aren't happy". LOL fucking joke |

They couldn't have known when they started the tOBR line that they would change the whole design while all the orders were pending... If they did know then that was a shitty bait and switch. |

Here's an idea, go ahead and cancel your orders and purchase what ever "other" rifle you think your going to be able to get. I wish you good luck with your M&P or other lesser quality rifle. Have you seen the state of things across the board? It's not just rifles. During the shortage of mags, what answers did you get from Magpul or any of the others? How about any of the ammo producers? I understand your frustration. I am waiting for a rifle too, but some of y'all need to go change your pad. I think it's leaking.

EXACTLY. KAC is doing it right. MAGPUL, AMMO, OTHER MANUFACTURES, all had updates/ home pages with info about shortages time frames/shipping delays ect. WTF are you talking about? Larue gives us NO info for a year about rifles that we paid 2/3 for and your cool with that? Ill trade you my pads for your dillo crack your smoking. Go get a M&P! Get out of here with that shit. Most people here have high end weapons stacked in their safes. This is not our first rodeo. We are used to paying top dollar for great weapons and getting the GREAT customer service that goes along with it. With Larue at this time, that is not the case. |

i understand the antsyness, but do you really think theyre just sitting on a bunch of rifles and laughing that your still waiting? im sure theyre shipping them out as soon as they can.
they know the wait time is pissing people off, im sure theyre running at 100% or damn close to it, sure they could give you more information but things come up and then your just going to come back and bite them in the ass for giving you wrong information. either way its a lose lose for them and either way your not going to be happy because you dont have your rifle right meow. i cant wait until i have the cash to be able to order a LT rifle, and a big part of why i want to is because from my experience they are a very stand up company that cares about theyre customers. you cant really blame them for not being able to knock out all the rifles that are being ordered right away. |

It's strange, but the fact that I'm not being attacked (yet) for this thread is making me sad. I assumed the pack would set upon me immediately. I thought about that a lot before posting. I knew what to expect...
I hope LT is listening. I really do love those guys and all my LT kit. I wish they'd talk to us. Does the fact that I'm not being attacked (yet), mean LT really needs to start listening to their best customers/fans? I hope so. I fear they are on the verge of losing so much customer good will -- even fanaticism -- and they will never recover it. Personally, I would never have imagined that I would be considering canceling my order. I'm a big fan, but I'm thinking about it... |
