We just wanted to clarify the rivet height is addressed during the AKT installation guide. The rivet can come in contact with the disconnector if it is above .062, but we believe it's more accurate to say that this was an not an issue with design, but simply a missed step during installation of the trigger which caused disconnectors to break. Users have several options during installation if they require more clearance, either by modifying the disconnector tail or removing some material from the rivet. Due to the nature of the AK platform, there are receivers and parts from a wide origin of manufacturers. These specifications can vary, since there is no agreed upon set specifications. The Geissele AK trigger video will go over the entire installation process. It may need to be viewed on Rumble due to YouTube's overbearing guidelines. Once we are able to go live, we will have more information on the installation process! |

The AKT has long been a proven trigger in the AK market, and with different main springs and the use of the auxillary trigger spring, you can increase the pull weight. We recognize that it is not 2-stage like the new Geissele AK trigger, but it will give you the added weight you are looking for. |

Appreciate the advice but I’ve had an AKT since the first run and strongly dislike it. I don’t have to have a two stage but I do need a wall, it doesn’t have one at all unfortunately. |

It was always a rolling break. The AK EL and UL simply determine how short that break and reset are depending on the model. If you need a wall the only model we will have is our Geissele variant but unfortunately we do not plan on having spring kits available at launch. |

I’ll probably just go with the new trigger and change the springs if/when they become available.

@GACS Hello! I have a quick question. On Geissele website it states that this trigger is "designed for the 7.62x39 platform", can I use this on 5.45x39 or 5.56x45 AK? Thank you in advance! |

We are still working on testing with 5.56 and 5.45 AK platforms, but at this point in time see no issues with compatibility or performance. It had less to do with the caliber selection and more to do with internal design changes if the AK platform had any. If you are looking to install it in a traditional AK/AKM receiver you should be good to go! We are still testing 54R platforms, and cannot recommend its use for 12ga. or PCCs since it would need hammer modification to function. |
