Just got a new MP4LE, and I've cleaned and lubed it up per the recommendations on this forum. Haven't shot it yet, but I do have a question.
When I operate the charging handle, it feels and sounds like there is a lot more metal to metal contact (even a little grit) than I remember from my USMC days.  Is this standard for these rifles, or do I need to clean again, or do I just need to break it in and keep quiet...

It's very new - just clean it, run some more lube in it, and let it break in - it's likely the phosphating on new parts (new parts are something I have yet to see outside an armory), so that's likely the difference.  It should break in.

That is right, the rifles are shipped dry.  Give it a good lube and take it out shooting.

Thanks,
