I got a new Magpul M Maglevel PMAG from AIM this afternoon.  While admiring it I noticed the follower doesn't go all the way up to the feedlip.  Compared to a standard M PMAG, the back of the mag is thicker at the top and has a burr/flashing that keeps the follower from reaching the top.  I know Magpul will make it right.  Is this a known problem or just a fluke?

It would be good to see a picture of the 'burr' to make sure there is nothing wrong there, but the followers in the latest m-revs do NOT go all the way to the top by design.  They will stop short of the feedlip by about a 1/16".  This in no way will affect the BHO or retention of the top round but does enhance some functions of the follower.
Always trying to make a good product better!

Justin - After looking at the magazine again, it looks as you described.  It just looks different from my other new standard M PMAGS.

Taking pressure off the feedlip when magazine is unloaded and uncapped?  Good idea.  Keep up your pursuit of the perfect magazine.

I'm glad it is okay.  I've had 100% function and quality with my PMAGS - even the first edition mags.  The PMAG 20s are my favorite.
