I have the original dedicated CMMG 22 upper with the set screw setup.

I get multiple Fail to Feed issues with most ammo's, except Federal Lighting 40gr. I want to shot other ammo's. I tried all the recommended fixes on the forum, and nothing seems to improve regarding FTF issue.

Will the new SST collar with built in go/no go gauge improve my situation?

Have you had the conversion apart?
If the unit has been apart sometimes the rails will get out of spec and cause all sorts of malfuntions.

The new collar has a spring detent instead of the set screw. The detent pops into a notched ring on the barrel. Does your barrel have the notch ring?

Just looking at it, appears the detent collar will work.
