You guys ROCK! I think these rings will be just what I'm looking for to complete a project I'm working on. Can anyone provide info on the centerline height-over-rail on these rings? I'm assuming they're standard weaver/picatinny attachment.

Edit: Also, will the rings be available separately?

Oh hell, now I've gotta find my credit card (and hope my wife doesn't find the statement afterwards!). Anybody got Cormorantslayer's phone number? He and I have been waiting for this, if you have his number call him!

ETA: wait a minute, Mark will these rings fit a 50 mm scope on a long action 700P?

He does, I've been having a conversation with him about the new model 700 scope mount.  I want one for my CZ 30-06.

It's a small feat, but no coincidence that the distance from center-of-bore to the top-of-rail is 1.025".

1.025 " + .875" = 1.900"

Any reason you didn't incorporate a recoil lug into the base?  Other than that, they look great.

How about one for a mauser98 action?  can't find a long 700 action.... rather not buy a whole gun for the action.....

Mark do you plan on selling them individually?  I just graduated and got my job, so I am short on money until i get a few checks, so it would be nice if i could by the individual pieces so i could start getting them sooner as apposed to later.

Its what I'm putting mine on. For a 98K action you need the long rail version. I'll file and bed as nessarry for the install as per Mark. I was going to go with the EGW mount but the Larue is much lower to the action and I don't mind a little work to get what I want.

The rail alone is under $100, ordered today. Just make sure you specify the right length.

Anyone know if this setup would clear an NXS 3.5-15x56?

Going to be fun doing the math to see if it fit......................

Its 1.9 inches from bore center to scope center. The scope is a 56mm (2.2 inches dia = 1.1 radius)
1.9 - 1.1 = .8 radius  or 1.6 inches barrel thickness or less at the area of intersection should clear the scope.

Of course eye relief, length, and scope position will play a big factor in where the scope comes closest to the barrel. I'm betting you will be fine.
He does have some slightly taller rings that will take care of you what ever your need. This rail and ring combo was engineered to get a 1.9 inch center to center line giving you a nice low profile scope set-up for the 700. I'm not sure exactly where it will end-up on my mauser, but its the style and height I've been wanting for mine.

Called it in at 430ish this afternoon, no issues, rang it right up and sent it to shipping. Nothing is online yet except the Team Larue email link to the full package. Which is a great deal, but with my non-stock application I need to install it before I determine ring height needed.

Give them a buz @

Yeah, you need to offer 20MOA forward cant.  Most precision bolt action shooters are focused on long range.  Some scopes don't have enough internal travel to reach 1K and beyond with a 0MOA base.  When you run to the top of your elevation adjustment you are also losing windage adjustment.  Also, it's better to have the majority of your "usable" travel in the middle, so that the erector isn't looking through the edge of the objective lens. (Which can cause greater edge to edge distortion.)

This 5.5-22x50 NSX is using badger standard height max 50 rings. They have a height of 0.823".  Since the Larue's have a height of 0.875" that's a difference of .052" (1.32mm).  Since you're dealing with an extra 3mm of objective(radius), then you're going to only have 1.68mm of additional material to clear in comparison to my rifle's setup.  I'm pretty sure mine has way more than that.  Also, since the base is canted forward, that reduces my overall clearance.  Of course all this is related to my 5R's barrel contour.  Something like an MTU or a #17 varmint will have even less clearance.

My gut feeling is that I think you should be good, 0612Devil.

How did you set up the rail underneath for the bipod? I've wondered if I could find that type for my rifle and the department gun too.

It's a Seekins Precision "Sling Rail System"  that they make to mount in place of the two bipod studs on your forend.  Slick setup.
