Got it in maybe three days. Looks good too. This to mount the new Aimpoint R-1 that was on sale at MidwayUSA.

Unfortunately, the thing fell into the river with the rifle attached while, you know... fishing.

Damn, I had the same thing happen.  I was cleaning ALL my rifles on the deck of a friends boat and damn it if a wave did nearly tip us over.  The whole arsenal, ammo and all, went into the drink.

Oh well.

Did you get a pic of the mount "before" it fell in the water?

If the water was less than 15' deep there is a good chance the aimpoint is still running.  Which mount was it, they make a few for those aimpoints.

I had the same thing happen, but mine fell down an abandoned mine shaft out the back of the pickup.

I would have gone in after them, but there were ghosts... and then those meddling kids and their Great Dane showed up...

on a better note...  I will have my new Larue R-1 Tall mount on Monday the 17th....  Hopefully packed full of Dillo dust... Cuz I used the last of it on those Great Dane Steaks....

They were Scoobyliscious!
