| I am a total newb with the AR's and about to order, or get in line, for a predatar 5.56 and what to better understand suppression, can you do it with the predatar and what is the benefit of the PST on the OBR. FYI the predatar is at my max budget without the wife killing me so unless there is a very good reason to get the OBR I think in need to stick with the predatar. The gun will be a "fun gun" for target, small game and home defense. Thanks in advance |

You can suppress both. It is a matter of either having a quick detach mount for the can or straight threading onto the barrel (depends on the type of can you have or get. I recommend a QD mount)
The OBR has a port selection swicth which will aide in the reduction of the gas blow back. The PredAr does not. I have the Pred 7.62 and the blowback has not been an issue. YMMV |

YMMV In a nut shell, Suppressors cause a lot of back pressure that can make parts wear out quicker. To the average Joe Schmo shooter, this will hardly be a problem if you take care of your stuff. There are lots of people running PredatAR's suppressed that haven't had a problem. Titleist 1 is one of those people, and I am sure he will be here shortly to place his knowledge. If you are so concerned with the back pressure, then for a few hundred more, you could upgrade and get the PredatOBR Hybrid. |

Find an Attorney that specializes in setting up "NFA Trusts" in Colorado. By far the easiest way to go. No LE sign off on paperwork needed, etc...
You should be able to find a good Attorney who can do this for around $500 and that's a one time cost to set up the NFA Trust. Then you can add as much "Gear" as you want. It will also set up Beneficiaries for your Class III stuff in case something happens to you - allows them to legally have it in their possession and you can appoint a "Trustee" to look after it if your Beneficiaries are your Children (too young to own firearms, suppressors, etc...), for example. Best $400 I ever spent ... My 2 cents ... |
