I just got a CTR for my new build. I bought it to replace a MOE because of how much I loved my CTR on my other build. Well, so far I'm not lovin' it so much.

The first CTR I bought is comm-spec. Now, it mates very nicely with the buffer tube on that rifle. Hardly any wobble when unlocked, and completely solid when locked. This is what turned me onto the CTR so much. This new CTR is mil-spec. The first thing I notice when I put it on my new build is that its already more wobbly than my MOE even was. Like, excessively wobbly. When I lock it, it definitely tightens up but not nearly as tight as my comm-spec one on my other build. I also noticed that when its full collapsed, the lockup does absolutely nothing. It's as if theres no lock on it at all. Again. my comm-spec CTR locks successfully in all positions. Whats up with it?

ETA: Okay so I just swapped stocks between the two. Same result. So it would appear as though I was sent a commercial spec CTR in a mil spec box. Who do I talk to about this, the vendor I bought it from or Magpul?

ETA2: I just popped off the butt pad and noticed a little "C" stamped inside the CTR. I'm going to assume that definitely means commercial spec?

Last but not least, ETA3: Again, I just popped the butt pad off my milspec MOE, and theres an "M" stamped there. So yeah, I got sent a commercial spec CTR in a mil spec labeled box. So I guess my final question is who do I need to talk to to handle this, the vendor I bought it from, or Magpul since it was mislabeled?

The vendor. Their job is sales and shipping, even if Magpul boxed it wrong. It's also quicker going through them because they already know who you are.

Thanks for reading the post.

Mrmaigo: Yeah I just shot them an e-mail, I figured I'd rather return it instead of exchange it anyways.
