When my OBR showed up - it was bleeding red lube.

Anyone know what is it.... I need more - my oil I normally run isn't as heavy as what came with it.

Buddy thought it was red machine assembly lube.

LT usually uses machine gunners lube, this stuff rocks, you can buy big bottles of it on their site under cleaning supplies i believe. Not sure what the "blood" part is about though. PICs?

Ah... no pics of the bolt - I cleaned the OBR like mad after it's first day out.

This is not MG lube - got bottles of the stuff.

There was a red tint to the lube that was on the bolt.

(OK - I went thru the trash at my bench and found where I wiped some of it up).

You see whan a young rifle matures, its body goes through changes and blossoms into...........

Probably this or something like it. I use it on bolt guns, and it's pretty good stuff, though I don't know if it'd hold up to a DI rifle's temperatures. Might wanna call & ask if they recommend it long-term, or did they just use that so it wouldn't dry out during shipping.

it sounds like obr's are now being lubricated with the blood of chuck norris. That explains it all.

clean it to bone dry, than use machine gun lube included with the rifle. i use that stuff exclusively. it's basically a moly lube.

I say if the problem persists take it to the ER. It could be just a mild infection built up by sitting to much and not being used. Feed it a daily does of bullets each day until it clears up.

Does your OBR have a Geissele trigger in it?  I installed a SSA in my AR and it came with a little red tube of grease to put on some of the contact points.  Could be that....
