I live in Jersey and we have this stupid 15-round mag cap. I would love to get the LaRue mags but they're over our limit. My question is "what's a good 10-round .308/7.62 mag out out there?" How's the DPMS vs the CProducts? Is there a 15-rounder out there that's compatible with the OBR?

I wish LT would make 10-round OBR mags for us blokes in ban states.

You can have your 20 rounders shipped to me, I'll keep them safe for you.

Sorry that I can't offer you any helpful advice.

Spoke with Alfred last week and he did say that he can't ship them to me. If there's no way they can be modded by LT to be legal here we can talk it over.

KAC-KNIGHT'S ARMAMENT 10 ROUND MAGAZINE FOR SR25
Spendy but an option, I have one here for use when my OBR finally arrives.

Any of the DPMS 308 mags will work, 4, 5, and 10 round.

44 MAG  has  DPMS  10 rounders at 24.99 each if you buy 10 or 27.99 1 at a time , i am guessing they  should be GTG, they warranty thier products against failure, any input  here .  with free ship over $200.00

This is under consideration if LT won't make 10-rounders.

This is MY experience with my OBR.

I had quite a few DPMS 19rnd from a GA Precision build so I brought them to the range along with Larue and Magpul mags.

None of my DPMS mags will fit in my OBR
Larue and Magpul no problem.

I have no idea if this is just with my OBR or all of them.  Or if it is an issue with the 8 or so DPMS mags i tested without any luck.

This is not a complaint, purely feedback of MY experience in relation to the general OBR magazine topic.

Well this sucks....Can you please elaborate more?  They would not lock into place just barely or was the fit a total nightmare or?  Would the Larue mags fit the DPMS?  Was hoping I could also use my stash of DPMS mags for my OBR.

+1. Need to know before I order the 10-rounders. Anyone have experience with the CProducts .308/7.62 10-rounders?

my dpms mags do not work in the least bit.  Might go in a 1/4" or so before too tight.  The first time I inserted one of the dpms mags I forced it a little harder and it went in further but I had to take apart the OBR and use a hammer and wood block to knock out the mag from the top of the lower receiver.

after comparing Larue vs dpms  magazines I see one big difference in construction.  The front side (as facing downrange when inserted in the magwell) of the dpms magazine is basically 2 layers thick where it wraps around and you see the overlap.  The Larue mag is a single layer and constant material.

I don't know if dpms has different styles of mags over the years but this was from at least 2-3 different sources over the previous 3 years.

I do not own any C products or KAC mags.

Larue mag fits in my dpms rifle built by GAP.

Luckily I know of one easy fix - buy more larue mags when you finalize your OBR.

Unfortunately, I don't have this option unless LT makes 10 or 15-rounders. Why did I move to Jersey again?

Just went though my dozen of DPMS mags (20 rounders) left over from my LR-308 and they all fit the OBR just fine.  Locks in and out, and holds the bolt open when empty.  I don't have any 10 rounders so I can't help you there.
