I haven't seen anyone Krylon their OBR yet, so I thought I'd be the first (to post it here anyway).

I started out with tape covering the slots in the handguard, but removed them before I started painting.  Instead I slipped an empty toilet paper roll underneath the handguard, and just made sure I covered up the PST.

Why is their a picture of your couch as the third fourth pic?  Isn't this supposed to be about camoin up your rifle?

That isn't a couch.  That is Oprah Winfrey laying on the floor.

ETA:  To the OP - it takes a confident man to take a rattle can to a $3K rifle... nice job.

Nice. What did you use to make the pattern? And what colors did you use?

I used Krylon Camouflage tan, brown, and green for the paint.  Base layer was the tan.  I used a fine mesh laundry bag from Wal-Mart to apply the brown.  Last, I hit it with the green using a wider mesh camouflage net use can see in one of the pics.

That does look like a  very pro job,  gr8  work,

Were did you find the camo net, i have seen them but they want hundreds of dollars, never seen one for a decent price....

A buddy gave me the net, but it wasn't any different than a wide-mesh laundry bag.  I used a fine-mesh laundry bag from Wal-Mart for the brown and green on the mags, and I think they turned out better than the rifle using the wide mesh.

Funny you posted this, just yesterday I decided to rattlecan my OBR. It will get the treatment tonight or tomorrow. I plan to do mine similar to my bolt gun:

Here's mine. The ACOG is new and I haven't decided if I want to keep it, so no paint for it yet. Last pic has my best buddy in it who helped me with the paint job. We "shoots bad guys" with my OBR in the living room.
