So I just picked up my OBR today and I'm trying to reconfigure the rails. I got the screws out, but the rail's pretty tight in its spot. I thought I'd consult the board before I start hammering on my beautiful new rifle. Quick answers get this properly set up, and pics will follow. So it's a win for everyone! By the way, I didn't get an owner's manual or else I would have checked there.

Use a rubber or wooden mallet, light taps. Did the same to my OBR.

Do the rails slide into position or do they simply sit on their spot then get screwed down? I'm trying to figure out the best angle of approach. Maybe I'm being a little impatient, but I just can't wait to get it set up.

They just fit in-place on the rib. We decided that being on the tight side is a good thing.

Here's my trick to remove.
I take the screws out, attach a bipod to the rail (with legs extended) and tap the extended legs in the direction of the barrel. It usually pops off in a second.

To attach:
Line-up in your desired spot insert screws and tighten. It'll snug down into position.

This is good to know.

I like the new "sponsor rep" flag. Just noticed it.

I only noticed it after you said something.  It only says site sponsor, though.  I always knew they sponsored the site...I liked the company rep picture better.  Gives a better idea of who he is.

Here's the current setup based on optics on hand.

Possible future configuration once I decide on what optic (leaning towards NF F1).

Oh and the bipod trick worked really well. Although, I would have felt more comfortable using something sturdier like a FUG.

To the OP: My manual was under the foam in the lid with the test targets.

Congrats on your new work of art!
