My rifle will not cycle 55gr .223. I can fire one round than the bolt will get stuck back and the next round will not load into the chamber. Sometimes it will not even eject the spent casing.I have tried different magazines and cleaned the gun.Any help is appreciated

Have you tried any other type of 55gr?

No, just curious why a different brand or bullet weight would cycle any different

Bad batch of ammo? What ammo are you shooting?  What other grains have you shot? Mine eats 55gr like a raped ape.

Bullet weight has nothing to do with how a rifle cycles.

Is the bolt locking back or is it short stroking?

it is short stroking, ive had the spent casing stuck in the chamber and the next round jamed into the feedramp with it. When it does eject the the casing the next rond will not chamber

Same problem here. Another guy here pointed out that OBR 556's come with the red extra power recoil spring from Springco. I Changed to the blue regular strength spring from Springco as per that guys suggestion not long after and problem solved. YMMV

Do you have the gas block selector in the correct position for unsuppressed shooting?  The selector should be to the shooters left without a suppressor.  If you have it set to the suppressed setting, you will likely experience short stroking.

I tried the lower reciver with a different upper and it shot fine, so i dont think it is the buffer spring. I think the lever was to the left, but I have to make sure. That could be the problem! Thank you
