I am trying to find an all around suppressor for my rifles, and saw another thread of a guy that used a 308 suppressor on his 5.56 and he said it worked great.  Only downside was it was a little heavier.  I did some more research and it seams to be a pretty common thing for people with alot of different rifles and only one suppressor.

Question is, Can I put an ops inc collar and brake on a 5.56 and 308 and use the 308 12th model on both.  I am sure that this probably won't work, but just wanted to make sure.

Are ops inc cans less likely to have an endcap strike?

Thanks

Yes, you surely CAN do that. If the bore is concentric with the mount threads (on barrel) then you shouldn't have baffle stikes with any can. UNLESS, you use crappy ammo.

Thanks, just wasn't sure if the 30 cal model would sit properly on both a 5.56 barrel and a 30 cal barrel.  Thanks again.

Well the Ops 12th doesn't sit on the barrel at all, it mounts using a brake and a collar. You will need a brake and a collar mounted on BOTH barrels to interchange the can.
