I'm going to officially pull the plug - we're still short - even with some TX HTF folks stepping up.
I will NOT be pushing for a special class the next time this rolls out, rather, I think it best we look at the 2018 schedule (when released) and see if we can get to a class. I appreciate everyone's consideration and attempts to make this happen! |

I went to the local range today to test any potential POI shift after I changed the installed 7.62 brake with the 6.5mm (260) brake. Unfortunately I also decided to move the scope one rail section up the rail for a more repeatable eye box so, I suspect the POI shift was mostly due to moving the optic. I was shooting the Hornady 130g ELD-Ms at 100 yards:
Bottom Target - These are the first shots. I made a .75MOA elevation and .5 right adjustment and then fired the single shot at the top target. Looked good to me so I locked it down. 
Here are 3-shots after the adjustments: 
I then installed the TQ and used some old DOPE to dial up 2.5MOA: 
I made adjustments of .25MOA up and .25MOA right and shot this group: 
I noted the TQ requires 2.75MOA Up elevation and .5MOA right. I then shot a tracking test for the Gen II Vortex. I wanted to see if it tracks in MOA or in Inches Per Hundred Yards. I made a level horizontal line, then a plumb vertical line and then marked at 10, 20, 30 and 40 inches. I shot zero, then kept the same POA and dialed in 10, 20, 30 and 40MOA. I dialed back to zero and reshot it one more time. I'll have to do the measurements, but it appears to be tracking to MOA.
