[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Operator stock kit

I just installed a RRA 6 position Operator stock kit on my LAR8. Easy install but I have a question. There are, what looks like, 2 storage tubes with springs inside the buttstock. What are they specifically designed to hold?? There were no instructions or paperwork included.

I this is the Operator Stock you are talking about, they hold batteries.

AA and 123 batteries primarily. I had a number of other products designed to fit the tubes but we haven't put them into production...rifle parts kit, personal "survival" kit, fire starter and tinder kit, etc..

Steve,,,I was thinking the same thing.Firing pins, gas rings etc.

Pretty much a bolt rebuild kit and a few other select parts were planned for that one, in a little tubular insert that went right into the stock's integral tube.
