While I wait for the WOA barrel/Ops Inc combo, two questions.
1) Any M4-M on the horizon? I am sure you guys are first inline for Ron @OPS. 2) If I sent a LaRue stealth upper to be fitted for your Model 12 collar and brake what would the contouring charge be if it's only 15/8 inch? And to fresh up the crown as I think I have a tiny bit of chipping on a small portion? I love the Ops Inc 12th 30 cal you sold me, beats AAC by a mile. Jorge |

Thx for the reply.
I realize that setting up the naked barrel on the lathe is the most critical part of the operation, while the recontour itself is the easiest part. My main worry is about the lower right 1/5 of the crown that has tiny nicks while the rest of the crown is perfect. I had an AAC Blackout on it and it never shot as tight after it was applied, I guess mostly due to the famous AAC wobble with my M4-2008. btW I have less than 500 rds on the barrel, allways clean from the chamber with a bore guide and Dewey rod, and no stainless steel brushes. I am going to shoot it for groups again next week without any flash hider, and unless I get the same 1/2 in groups I had at first, it will go back o you for disassembly, precision recrown, Model 12 contour , and reassembly. You don't have to do any shortening of the barrel for a light touch up of the crown, right? Thx |

Just remember though, the "crown" is the slight bevel at the end of the bore, the inset on the face of the muzzle is NOT the crown, that is simply protection for the crown, and in no way affects the crown, or how it functions. |

Just exchanged emails with Ron @ Ops.
He said he is going to work on a couple more M4-M's for you. Let me know how I can lock down one of these puppies, as well as a sleeve adapter for a Model 12 setup. The latter will go on the WOA/SPR set you will hopefully have for sale soon. Regards, Jorge |

NFA Branch may be back logged, but the BHO administration is letting us feel the heat of "sequestration", sometimes literally.
At a major airbase not too far from you Ron (think of the movie the Right Stuff), the base commander has mandated that the thermostat in test buildings be set at 85 F! Laptops have melted! Tempers have flared! And BHO and Moochelle are headed to Martha's Vineyard. |

In view of the ATF revision of the trust regulations, I think we have less than 100 days to get our paperwork in for any suppressor.
Unfortunately no south Florida CLEO will sign a Form 4. Any updates on the M4-M' s or 12ths Ron is transferring to you? Jorge Miami, Fla |

Seems the brand new eForm process works as poorly as the rest of the Fed Gov.
It promises to cut some of the initial delay, but access to the system has been hit or miss with users having difficulty accessing the web site. There are lots of browser incompatibilties. As with computerized medical records it promises great efficiency, but delivers mostly headaches. Thx again for the 12th! Jorge |
