What are my options, through, CMMG to put a midlength handguard on a dedicated 22 upper?

I understand the front sight base can be moved but will the grenade ring prevent this?

Ultimately I want to run a Moe midlegth handguard and a regular front sight.

Thanks for the help

Your best bet would be to call CMMG and ask about it. I know we talked about offering these at one time.

One of the members posted a picture where he moved his front sight base forward and used mid-length hand guards on his. I will do this to mine just for fun and see how it looks. I also planned on the MOE hand guards. If I get time tonight I will put this together and post a picture. I wanted to make it match my 5.56mm CMMG middy upper.  It would be nice if they would leave off that cut on the barrel....like no one needs that thing anyway.

Thanks I would like to see what you can come up with.

At this point the M4's are hard to keep up with. No ETA on when a mid length might be available.
