Steve,
I know a lot of us are waiting patiently for our new RRA rifles, but it's now coming up on 15 weeks for my mid-length chrome lined upper.  I posted for information at 11 weeks, and the reply was 8-12 weeks, give or take a little.  I'm ok with that, but I'm wondering if there is a revised ETA, or if I need to be talking to the store I ordered from.

To the best of my knowledge, everyone from the gunstore to RRA has been honest, and Steve, I appreciate you making yourself available like you do.  This forum (and your straight answers and customer service) is the reason I didn't cancel my order a month ago.

Bottom line is I plan to wait out this order with excitement (and maybe a little anxiety), but that being said, is there a point where I need to be concerned about the order, or is this just the situation and I need to be patient?   I guess I'm just looking for a little reassurance.

One way or the other, I'll wait for what I ordered, because it's exactly what I want, and from the manufacturer I want it from.

Thanks again Steve for your help and support. Rick

My elite car A4 (chrome lined) was 14 weeks on monday. My dealer called last night and said it is due in today. I'll bet yours is any day now. Hang in there.

Hold tight.
Your dealer can check with our Sales Department for status checks on the order, and we've finally got the software running that will let us e-mail customers automatically (as long as we have their e-mail) upon shipment.

Thanks for the reassuring words guys, and I'll touch base with my Dealer today. Even though the wait is killing me, I'm sure it will be worth it!

I found out today that mine should be done in 3 weeks or so... give or take a few weeks is ok with me, as long as it's done right. I haven't been waiting too long though, since may 31st, but I was told 6-8 weeks. Regardless, like I stated, I don't mind if it takes them another 5 weeks as long as I get a reliable product that I am satisfied with (which I don't doubt at all). Gives me time to put together a nice cleaning kit, and hopefully a couple thousand rounds of ammunition for the first day of shooting! ok ok.. maybe not all 2k on the first day.. I could spread it out.. like 1900 the first day and 100 the 2nd.

Just a follow-up...I spoke to the dealer today, and found out that they go through another distributor for their RRA product.  They have several uppers on the same order, so I would imagine that there could be a couple of week delay before RRA even got the order.  Instead of being 15 weeks, RRA probably has had the order for 13-14, which puts it in line with the other people that are just starting to receive theirs.  The dealer has been great with me, and RRA builds an awesome AR, so I don't mind a little wait.  I'm sure I'll get a call within the next week or so, and life will be good again!

(BTW, if I would have know about the current delay, I would have still ordered from RRA!)

(Did it come in yet?...how about now?...I stepped away from the phone, did I miss your call?...) Just kidding...kind of...-Rick

I'm expecting my Elite CAR A4 (chrome lined) any day now.  My dealer got in a couple a week or so ago and mine was ordered the same day.  The others were without the chrome lined barrel.  I keep looking for that email from him, but it isn't there yet.  I've waited this long, what's another week or two or three.

The anticipation is killing me as well. I'm two weeks over my minimum estimated delivery date, but was told that the factory is test firing Varmints this week and they should go out next week. Scope is in, scope rings have been lapped and lots of fresh ammo loaded up. 55g's to get the scope on target and lots of 69's in stepped loads so on my first day at the range will be most productive.

If this comes next week, I might have to cancel my twins birthday party so Dad can get some range time...that'll move would come up in a future therapy session I'm sure.

Wojo...don't cancel their party....have a party at the range!
"Hey kids...wanna see Daddy shoot his new rifle?", and of course, "I bet this will break that pinata" and..."POP goes the weasel".
Breathe deeply, wait patiently, and when you do get it, be safe and have fun.

I got the long awaited email last night.  My RRA Elite CAR A4 is here!!!!!  I'll call my FFL and make arrangements to pick it up hopefully tonight.  Take it out on Friday and put some rounds down the barrel.

It's hot here, hope they survive sweat!

All you guys wanting your carbines should just relax. RRA has sent 'em all to me for a second round of test firing by a selected end user. I'll get 'em in the mail to you in, oh, a month or so. Maybe. Depends on whether I still have ammo around. O.K., I'm lying. Or wishing that was true. I'm waiting just like you are.

I stopped by RRA the other day to pick up 5 30rnd magazines, 2 tshirts, a sling and a LULA Magloader.... I have received my first ammo shipment of 1k of .223 Federal AE FMJ, 3 bottles of CLP, a .223 cleaning kit from Kleenbore, and a .223 Boresnake. Just waiting on the one piece of equipment I am lacking... the beautiful gun from RRA.

And you didn't ask for me?  Introduce yourself?  Try to beg any freeebies?  Man, I'm hurt!
Production is moving along.  We're getting close to being able to cut the anticipated lead times a little bit on new orders, but filling the older orders is still the priority right now.

It was my lunch, didn't have much time. Thought about it for a few seconds, then recognized a young lady that works there. She was in my Statistics class last semester.. not sure of her name, but I thought she was married to someone there. I want to say the Owner's son, but not sure if that's correct.

Anyhow, next time I stop in I will definitely look ya up (probably as soon as you guys release the LAR-8, which I am interested in purchasing).

That'll work.
Did you see the LAR-8s inthe conference/show room?
