Hello all, first post hope I didn’t miss an intro requirement on the board…
Got a question for ordering from Larue. I’m currently in the desert getting nasty looks from the locals and I can’t seem to get a call through to Larue and I’m sure they’re a little busy as they haven’t replied to any three of my emails (not upset, I understand the facts of life right now). I set up my account on their site and have most of the rifle(s) built but can’t decide if I want to pull the trigger online. My problem is there are accessories I know I want on the gun when it ships, i.e. muzzle break etc, but I’m not sure how to make sure all the right stuff is on, also can’t figure out if my Mil discount application has made it or how to apply it. Obviously I’d like to get this stuff on order sooner than later. So should I: 1) Order the bare bones rifle and add to my order once I make contact some day? 2) Add all the pieces to the order and hope I don’t get a box of parts in the mail and a rifle in the cue? 3) Keep trying to get with them via email? Feedback apprciated. |

Order online and all the parts like the muzzle brake/stocks will be installed on it.... If you are ordering optic and sights, those will come in a separate box well before you get the rifle most likely. However, since you are in the military, your rifle will get to you many, many months faster that it would to us "former" military types (currently known as civilians)..... They will not likely be back in the office until Wednesday, but I would call them if at all possible to take care of details. Now that they have posted on their website, in a very large font, not to call about magazines, you should be able to get through....
PS: Hope you are ordering a 7.62..... The desert offers long range target practice potential.... |

Merry Christmas and welcome. You made a wise choice ordering a LaRue. Normal practice for LaRue is to not charge the credit card until the rifle is ready to ship. Any accessories that ship separate will be charged when they ship.
Thanks for your service. Stay safe and come home. |
| If I were you, I would order the rifle and put in the notes to please use FDE furniture. Then I would place a secondary order for the accessories you desire. They will not install them on the rifle and should anything be back ordered, it will ship when it comes available. |

So how did you end up ordering? I'm in the EXACT predicament you were just in. I want a PredatAR 16, but also in FDE furnature and surfire comp. I don't want to mess up my order seeing as i will have to patiently wait for many months to get it the way i want. I did exactly what CJC said, I figured there is no way Larue would screw me and it's not like they are going to ship it tomorrow before I can get all the stuff on I want. Waiting day 1, complete...how many more days |
| Ok. I seem to be all ordered up. I submitted my FFL name, contact numbers, and address. Do i still need to fill out the other form for FFL submission? or do they contact the FFL that i supplied the contact information for? I heard that was acceptable. My status shows "compliance call". Any help fellas... I do NOT want to screw up my order and wait even longer that im in for already. |
