I posted this before , but thought I might try it again.

My PMAGs are not working well with my Stag lower. Frequently, the chambering round gets lodged between the bolt/chamber/magazine. I cleaned the mags, lubed the rifle according to the maintenance section of this site, changed ammo from .223 Remington to 5.56 NATO, and still the same thing. I switched to USGI mags and no problems at all. PMAGs are dated 7/07, approx 400 rounds through rifle. Any thoughts?

Can you try the PMAGs in another lower? It seems like some lowers just don't like them, also varies from rifle to rifle in same brand of lower. Worst case, you won't have any problem selling them.

Please contact Magpul tech support and ask to speak to Eric.  He will take care of you.

If you talk to Eric, share the solution.  I have some P-mags and a Stag Arms M-4.  Thanks !

I spoke with Eric at Magpul; we are going to try to switch out the bodies to resolve the problem. Since the feeding issue usually occurrs when the magazine is full, the guts may be a little tight.

Does this mean a NEW PMAG body is coming that's going to outdate the previous ones? Was going to order a bunch more.... I'll wait if MAGPUL is going to make them different.

I think 7/07 is the latest design, but I've not heard of anyone having feeding issues with pmags in 6+ months of newer bodies.

7/07 is the latest design of the magazine body. However, since it consistently misfeeds on the 5th round, at this point, it is worth a try.

Next time out, I'll try it out on my in-laws' armalite and bushy lowers -- maybe my lower just doesn't like what I'm feeding it.
