Look at the contact surfaces between the upper and lower, you will notice the upper has two small pads that contact the lower. Just squeeze the upper and lower together toward the rear and push out the take down pin. I think it's an awesome feature and i wish standard AR recievers had them. |

Shot mine with my new Dead Air Nomad yesterday to get it sighted in. Liked to jam with the 20rd KCI mag but was flawless the my 20rd PMAG, didn't get to put any rounds though my US Palm mags tho. Also had a few light primer strikes but I've got a few Wolff hammer springs in hand to fix that. Not gassy in the slightest with the Nomad, didn't feel overgassed or anything like that, and sounded great.

Looking at getting some sort of linear compensater for my ks47 10.5
Any suggestions? |
|

Give Respect & Take Responsibility

That’s pretty slick, but $1000 for an upper is steep.

Anyone with both the 16" and the 8.5" or 10.5" KS-47, could you comment on how the muzzle blast is between the two?
|
|
|
Has anyone had the uses with lugs breaking at with other manufacturers in the x39 caliber? Is PSA offering replacement bolts?
|
|

They show out of stock so maybe at one time they offered them for sale. If you do break one I'm sure Josiah will get you taken care of.

Any suggestions for light hammer strikes? I had one about halfway through a mag of Wolf 123gr FMJ.
|
|
|
Either an enhanced firing pin or an extra power hammer spring.

@PalmettoStateArmory
Please drops more parts. I’ve been waiting months for two bcgs. Finally went another route. Still needing a 16” barrel. |

Couple of questions:
1. Will standard hand guards fit on the KS-47? 2. Has anyone had issues with lugs breaking off bolts like other x39 platforms? 3. Has PSA begun shipping replacement bolts 4. I have a LMT bolt - can I use this as a spare? 5. Ideas for buffer weight in conjunction with adjustable gas block for suppressed vs. not? TIA - Chuck |

TIA - Chuck View Quote 1. Yes, but any anti-rotation tabs on freefloat handguards will have to be modified or removed. 2. I haven't shot enough to comment, but I will say the bolts are modified to clear AK mags so a couple of the bolt lugs have less material than standard 7.62x39 AR bolts. 3. You can buy replacement bolts, but they're OOS pretty often. 4. Nope, KS-47 Gen 2 bolts are their own thing (see #2 above). 5. I'd say H or H2 will be fine, depends on ammo, etc. |

As soon as we can we will! Thanks, Josiah |

@PalmettoStateArmory Please do. I have been on the "notification" list for a BCG for months & months. I need it to complete my build. Would rather stay with PSA parts but am ready to consider other options if anyone can share recommendations.

Got to try out my US Palm mags last weekend.... Only had golden tiger expansion ammo on hand but every single round nosed up into the top of the chamber causing a jam didn't matter if manually cycling or not nor how many rounds in the mag. Going to assume it is due to the thicker feed lips.
Have a bunch of PMAGs headed my way but still going to pick up one Bakelite (for the aesthetic) and one standard surplus steel mag to see how they run. In the upside tho got my hard charger installed, 100% worth it. Had to grind down the support that touches the rear of the upper but that was nothing Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File |

Is it possible to purchase spare extractors so there's no down time? |
|
|
Based on what I've seen, PSA is using all the parts they can make to complete rifles or kits. They haven't been able to exceed demand in order to offer spare parts. That said, if you actually break something they will send out a replacement asap. I broke the extractor on mine on Sunday. I contacted Josiah on Monday or Tuesday and had a replacement in the mail before the following Sunday. I didn't miss a single range session.
I also scouted around for spares and found some here. Not the cheapest but I did run about 300 rounds with one and had zero issues. I'm keeping the spares in the grip so I don't have to take loaded magazines home again. 7.62x39 extractors |

At this moment, everything is going to production due to how crazy things are right now. If there is a warranty issue, that is a different story, and we can take care of any customers gun quickly. @PalmettoStateArmory I just bought this AR platform sold by you folks. Though I am in love with the caliber I am experiencing some scary miss-feeds. I am using Cmags by duramags, various brand of ammo, this happens sporadically, beginning to the middle of the magazine. Can you please help me diagnose what's the cause behind this.

Any links to where I can find these mags, I just bought 3 cmags made by duramag due to the general consensus that they are the most reliable ones.

View Quote Yeah, you probably know this but you don't have a KS47... The commie steel mags are actual AK mags that fit into the KS47 lower. You're kinda limited as to choices in an AR15 7.62x39 mag. Maybe contact Josiah and see if PSA wants to look @ your rifle? |

This is why PSA should’ve left the standard BHO, but AK mags don’t have BHO followers...at least that’s what I was told by Josiah. |
