I ordered a lower build kit two weeks ago. I have contacted PSA several times. I either get no response, "your order will ship soon and you'll get an email" or "your order will ship in 5 business days."

PSA in my opinion has crap customer service, crap communication and should not be in the firearms business if they cannot ship for several weeks. I'm close to filing a claim with my bank and the BBB. This BS has to stop. Apparently this has been going on for years, and their leadership can't seem to hire more people to cover the workload.

Yeah, one of the highest volume commercial only companies shouldn't be in the firearms business

We all know they're slow to ship. If you're not okay with it, order elsewhere. In order to pay for the new employees prices will go up. Then order volume drops and there's no longer a reason for the new employees.

Well then their management needs to hire more people if their employees can't ship for weeks when their site says things are in stock.

Their site says on every page that orders can take up to 15 business days to ship.  If you can't read that then you have no business complaining

I thought the 15 days thing was for uppers and rifles only. I could be wrong though.

Correct, regular orders are 5 business days + a few after recovering from a sale.

Most likely they have an issue with their IT.  Software to handle large volumes of inventory, orders, and shipments is extremely expensive and then the network to support it and people aren't cheap either.

As successful a company as they have built I'm sure they are looking at ways to improve constantly, but it's always a balancing act between trying to keep overhead low while still providing a good service.

Or, you can post your order number and let PSA take care of it.  More often then not, first posters are still within their agreed upon shipping terms.

You can have...

1: Quick
2: Cheap
3: Quality

Choose two.

Palmetto does quality inexpensively.  If you want better customer service and faster shipping, you will have to pay for it.

I like the way palmetto does business.  I shop on quality and price.

meh. I was in both farrow and fernandina yesterday and i was kinda disappointed by farrow.. didnt have any uppers i needed or stock kits... and when asked about building one for the web price i was told no, as well as no to getting them from the back.

this is new development at farrow.. largely i suspect due to their warehouse moving to dunbar..

spoke with a few "guys" at fernandina, (ended up giving them my sale for the upper) even though it was over priced what they were selling on the web.  I know the stores hands seem tied but i cant help but wonder how pissed the average customer is when told we cant match the site price, even though i have a pallet of these uppers here. Granted i know more about the workings of PSA than the average customer, i bet it causes lots of lost sales in store.

the guys at fernandina were great as always and im purposefully leaving names out. Couldnt be happier with their service.

the guys at farrow, while were friendly and for the most part helpful, i didnt really recognize.. Woulda said hi if i had though.

idk.. i know its not related to OP's post, but seems like yall should know that even i get irritated at them. :)

They are one of the fastest growing companies in SC and there are times that I think they are the price driver for the majority of the industry on most products (not on everything).  Just think about this past 18 months:  They have seen the panic, an increase in demand, the opening (or announcement to open) several stores, changing over of warehouses, addition of sister companies, addition of munitions, major changes to the website, and still try to meet everyone's orders.  On top of that, they constantly run sales that often deplete their stock of the items on sale.

They move a ton of inventory, and while it is not the fastest in the industry, they work to correct any errors.  They will still have my business.

If your order has been processing for longer than the allotted 5 business of processing time, please send me a message with your order number and I can look into the issue. Thank you.

no doubt on all that.. i was simply trying to state that while i bleed PSA, theyre not perfect.  And that being said i do think sometimes slowing your roll and planning properly would alieviate alot of their issues.

i stil shop there and will. just can be frusterating at times lol
