I received the completed upper yesterday. I noticed the Extension is not lined with the receiver. I showed pictures on the Ar15 Discussion and people also said the sight is canted. The barrel slipped a bit when they were installing the nut. What should I do? Should I try shooting and see what happens? Here Is my thread so you can see the pictures please. Thank you

Thank you for your inquiry,
I read the thread and looked at the pictures. Nothing in that thread gives evidence that the sight is canted, quite the contrary as you have independently confirmed the sights to be aligned. Due to the composite nature of AR assembly, and the tolerances in the upper and barrel extension, it is not uncommon for the feed ramps to not match up perfectly with the receiver. It should not, in itself, be a cause for alarm. Your upper was test fired as part of its qc check before it left, and if the feedramps had caused an issue, the upper would not have shipped. Please feel free to sight in your upper with live fire and give it a workout. Your upper is covered under warranty, so If you have any issues with the function of the upper, please contact Customer service @ [email protected] and we will take care of you. |

I feel much better now. I was just frustrated because that is the reason I decided to buy another upper because an amateur built did a mess in my older upper. Thank you for your fast response. |
