Guys, PSA knows they had QC problems. If you have a PSA build, just check it to make sure it is assembled correctly.
PSA will take care of this problem. They are well aware of the screw up. I'm sure heads are rolling and this will be corrected.
PSA has provided great prices, even though I personally have not used one and am not in any way affiliated with them, I have followed the threads.

At least give PSA a chance to correct the issue without it turning into another internet bashing fest of a company that is attempting to put out builds with quality parts at a lower price point.

Really? Have you followed the threads about gas tube issues? PSA is taking a beating.
But I can easily remove the post. Doesn't matter to me one way or the other. I have seen this over and over with a company being destroyed because of a couple screw ups.

I don't know if it is necessary or not but I do have to agree with Dave. At some point it's time to move on. I'm confident PSA will deal with this correctly.

Have you followed the threads about gas tube issues?

The one where the douche stopped payment because he claims the gas block was missing loctite?
I have a NIB upper and that thing looks flawless. I am just waiting on my new lower to range it.

editted. I just looked at the other posts on the gas tube....and doubled checked my midlength rifle. It looks flawless.
I 100% agree this post was uncalled for and only will make for more controversial.
PSA just needs to contact each buyer through email and have them do a quick check of this issue for a case by case evaluation. It does make you question any head spacing was checked on those rifles pr even test fired.

No, there are 2 separate people that received uppers with gas tubes that didn't even reach into the upper receiver.

The concept of the PSA upper began when I was 17 yrs old and joined the Army as a 45B (Marine 2111). I developed my love of the M4/M16/AR platform while working in the armament platoon for the then 215th FSB of the 1st Cav Division at Fort Hood. We had to turn out quatlity work as lives depended on the weapons we were fixing.

To date we have sold approx 3,000 uppers. We are currently investigating what happened. We are able to pinpoint the uppers in questions due to the changeover of the workstation from carbine to midlength uppers and the assembler not changing over the gas tubes at the work station. To date we have located 3 uppers with this problem. The two that posted in this forum and one other.

The PSA AR upper was created and developed by the ar15.com forum members. This is why we have had such an uproar when this issue surfaced. I was a member of arfcom before the company was founded and I assure you that if the issue came up with another company I would be the first to flame and criticize. In the past our QC checks have not required a test fire of each upper. This will now change, each upper will be individually testfired before shipping.

We understand the criticism and are using the incident to make the company stronger. Our QC process is currently being upgraded to make it the most rigorous and cutting edge in the AR market. Our plan is to be the leader in quatility innovation. Our warranty is lifetime and at any time if you have an issue with your rifle or upper it will be handled on our dollar. There is not a customer that has not had a part repaired or replaced if they have had a complaint.

I personally believe that the PSA Patrol Carbine with Aimpoint Patrol Rifle Optic, FN Hammer Forged Barrel and Magpul Rear MBUS for $999.99 is the best deal in the AR market right now. In the second half of November we will be offering many new rifles and kits that will be industry leading for their specs, value and price. We look forward to using the criticisms form this forum to enhance the production processes for our current and new product offerings. You helped us build the company and we will continue to adapt and adjust based on your input.

Thanks,
Jamin

Thanks Jamin for building a great product at an even greater price.

Any foreseen guns using something like a 6x35 round? I really liked that PDW built by KAC.
That and an AR10 are on my Christmas list...

You guys are a bunch of losers––I'm not sending you any more of my money till I see what kind products you have in November.  Jesus, I can't stand a company like you who take all my money, send me shit I ask for, then come up with more crap I feel I have to have.  I mean really, I've just about had it with you!

I will give them credit for taking ownance of their SNAFU, now I will watch becasue I was actually eyeing some of their kit for my wife's rifle.  Thankfully by the time my AR-10 build is done this whole hiccup will have passed and I can buy with the utmost confidence.

Give PSA a break, let them make it right, and I'm sure they will.

It's not like a Ford F-150 with two recalls, one for a hood latch that can fail while your going down the highway or rusted out fuel tank straps that can let your tank fall to the ground..... Oh wait.... thats

my truck I'm talking about.

Thanks Jamin & PSA.

Everybody has growing pains, I am a customer and will continue to be.  I really believe PSA has changed the AR market by having direct input from consumers.  As you know, the AR market is so competitive, and PSA being able to be successful and grow the last 18 months is indicative of the good products your putting out.

Keep up the good work

Couple concerns....bought the $999 patrol carbine...My first AR.  At the range firing first time today and could not get the fixed sights zeroed.     Finally noticed the MBUS was torqued down but was loose in the rail. I thought pieces only fit tight in the rail.  Ended up backing out the screw and resetting the sight.

Also, if I grab the grip and fore grip....there seems to be play between the two...almost as if the two twist.  Is that normal or should the two be tight?

Appreciate the help.

I think what you have going on, is play between the upper and lower receivers.  Perfectly normal.  Some fit tight as hell when new, some are loose as hell when new.  Most end up that way with use eventually.  That said, it "levels off".  It doesn't keep getting looser, until it's shitty.  Hope that helps.  9080

I'm happy PSA is on top of this stuff and if there is a problem they will take care of it.  But I would hate to have to send something back.  I have been trying to decide what I want to get so I've been waiting a long time before I pull the trigger on my purchase.  Once I make my purchase I would be very unhappy so have to send it back.  My rifle will be used on duty.

Yes, I agree PSA is a great company.  But if you happen to be that 1 person out of 1,000 that had a problem, I think you would still be unhappy.  That goes for any company though.  Anyway, I do have my eye on a PSA upper right now.  There are other ones that are out of stock that might come available when I am ready to buy so I won't rush.
